Columbia-Willamette Chapter
Joining the local chapter will provide you the opportunity to learn from other members who come from varied horticultural backgrounds – botanists, nurserymen, and lifetime gardeners. Our meetings are informal and speakers may be local or from abroad. We also share information on propagation, trough building and alpine gardening. Plant sales, meeting door prizes and exchanges allow members access to unusual plants to add to their personal collections.
The Chapter meets normally on the first Thursday of the month (except January, July and August) at 7:30 pm at the SMILE Station at 8210 SE 13th Avenue in Sellwood (SE 13th Avenue one block south of Tacoma Street). Call Jan Jeddeloh at 503-481-3144 for more information.
Chapter dues are $20 per calendar year.

Membership in the National organization has many additional benefits. Two of the most desired are the Annual Seed Exchange and the Rock Garden Quarterly.
Seed available from the Exchange include rare plants, wild seed collections, and donations from members and botanical gardens world wide. Many of these seeds are hard – or impossible – to find any other way. Members are may order 25 packets each year.
The Rock Garden Quarterly includes full color photographs and articles on wide ranging topics such as plant expeditions, individual genera, and gardening experience.
